José Galvez es un fotógrafo chicano que ha documentado durante más de tres décadas la vida de las comunidades mexico-americanas, trabajos por los que recibió el Premio Pulitzer. En esta obra sus creaciones ilustran el poema de Luis Alberto Urrea titulado Hymn to Vatos Who Will Never Be in a Poem.
