En el libro Gamesmanship (1947) y sus secuelas (One-Upmanship: Being Some Account of the Activities and Teachings of the Lifemanship Correspondence College of One-Upness and Games Lifemastery; The Theory and Practice of Gamesmanship: Or the Art of Winning Games without Actually Cheating; Lifemanship: With a Summary of Recent Researches in Gamesmanship; Supermanship, or, How to Continue to Stay Top without Actually Falling Apart, etc.) tiene como objetivo enseñar "tácticas" de manipulación de los oponentes, para hacerlos sentir inferiores y, así, obtener una ventaja sobre ellos y salir victoriosos de cualquier situación social o laboral. Otras obras suyas son la novela The Young Man (1929), el libro para niños Squawky (con ilustraciones de George Him) y algunos estudios sobre la obra de D.H. Lawrence y Coleridge. | |
